Use Today for a check-in, and Journal to revisit check-ins and events. Record what happened, when, how it felt, and what you found helpful. Add notes or a small highlight when you want to.
Check-ins and events can be edited or deleted. Keep the record in your own words; the app does not infer a diagnosis.
Look at what you actually recorded
Patterns summarizes your recorded observations over time. Use the available time windows and template filters to focus on the entries you want to review.
Reported helpful actions reflect what you recorded, not evidence that an intervention caused improvement. Missing days are unknown. Health data availability is separate from your written experience.
Preview a 14-day visit summary
- Open Care → Preview visit summary.
- Read the complete report and review the dates and entries.
- Check notes, support steps, contact information, and appointment questions before sharing.
- Choose Share this summary only when you are ready, then choose the recipient or app in Apple’s share sheet.
Generating or previewing a report does not send it anywhere. Reports can contain sensitive information; the recipient controls the copy you send. They are a conversation aid, not a clinical assessment.
Keep a copy you choose
CSV export is available in Settings. The app requests exclusion of its records from device backups, so export anything you want to retain before replacing, erasing, or uninstalling a device or app.
Exports are separate copies. Deleting app records does not delete a file you already shared or saved elsewhere. The app does not provide a cloud account or account recovery.
Understand what deletion changes
Deleting an individual entry changes the phone journal. Delete this phone’s app data clears the phone record and pending inbox; it does not erase Apple Health or the offline Watch’s cached plan and queued records.
An offline Watch may still transfer pending records later. Before changing who uses the setup, review every device and any saved exports. Read the complete deletion explanation.
